Established in 1918 The British Travelgoods & Accessories association (BTAA) is the trade association in the UK which caters for the needs of manufacturers, suppliers, designers & retailers of travel goods, handbags, leather goods & fashion accessories. Trade fair discounts
When you exhibit at the following trade Fairs as a BTAA member you are entitled to a 5% rebate* from the BTAA against the cost of your stand.
If you exhibit at the following Trade Fair you will receive a 10%* rebate off the cost of your stand.
Depending on your stand cost & how many of the above shows you exhibit at it can result in the rebate covering your entire membership fee & in a number of cases you could be entitled to payments in excess your membership fee.*(See website for exclusions)

Via an insurance company who specialise in the accessories, gift & jewellery sectors. Their knowledge of your sector ensures you receive the right advice and therefore insurance cover for your business.
As brokers they can obtain alternative quotes on your behalf tailored to suit your specific needs, saving you considerable amounts of money. They will then give you 5% off the premium they would charge to non members. The combined bespoke policy offered ensures that you will be covered where you need to be ,but you will save money by not being over insured. This policy can include up to £10000 free cover for cancellation costs and loss of expenses regarding Trade fairs, for example if you were unable to attend due to reasons beyond your control.
The policy also includes public & product liability for any goods you sell in North America & Canada, which most UK insurers will not include in their policies.
The BTAA works closely with a independent company specialising in bad debt insurance.Bespoke packages are created to cater for your particular needs. Discretionary limits of up to £15000 can be set up per customer (based on aged debtor profile).A low excess of £500 is also provided.
