New member alert! BTAA welcomes Mame Huku to membership

Mame Huku luxury evening bags are exquisitely made by hand by master craftsmen in London, from unique vintage silks from Japan, mid century upcycled handmade jewels and sumptuous French silk velvets. Our unique beautiful clutch and cross body evening bags are ethically and sustainably made.

We have taken precious Brocades made in 1950’s Kyoto, stored in Cedar Wood chests for a lifetime, combined them with new silks, contemporary artist made jewels to re-purpose luxury.

Through the skill of our master craftswoman our sumptuous bags take on their latest incarnation.
Annie Sherburne's jewels which adorn this collection are made by the artist from pre war Czechoslovakian crystals and stones which were smuggled out of the country in 2nd World War artillery cases.

2017 brings the third collection of bags from Mame Huku. Ann Edwards CEO of the brand has collected Japanese textiles for ten years. She wanted to share the beauty of these fabrics and Mame Huku was founded in 2014. Ann is an artist and designer and loves the collaborative process of working with other artists to create beauty.
