The BTAA prides itself on being the first point of contact for its members and the industry. The BTAA exists to represent its members to Government, to provide a range of services and as a network for communication within the industry. It is at the centre of the accessories and Travelgoods industry. We have now completed a 'Value Audit' of our services. The results provide a fascinating insight into the value of the BTAA and help put a tangible financial value on the wide range of services offered.

Industry Reports – Executive Summaries are available to FREE to BTAA Members woth save over £500. UK Trade Fair Discounts – Lots of savings to be made - See below Creditflow - save £22.50 on a company's credit worthiness report with Experian. Copywatch - Solicitors and Patent Agents offer 30 minutes free advice on IP issues (worth £100) and if you are having difficulties with others copying designs – Royds can help with discounted legal help. Legal Helpline - save £100 on immediate free advice on a range of legal issues. Employment issues - free 20 minutes advice could help you to avoid taking incorrect action which could save a claim of £1000 and above. Agents helpline - free advice specifically on employment of agents - potential savings of hundred of £'s on a compensation claim. Property helpline - free and direct access to advice on a whole range of property issues. Trading Standards Free helpline, guidelines and dispute arbitration service. One phone call seeking assistance on a trading standards issue could save a considerable amount of time and money. A 10 minute call offering advice is worth £85.00 Insurance Services Members have reported making savings of up to £2,500 on a single policy. Import - Free helpline. Half an hour free advice - worth £75. Health & Safety - Tailored health and safety policy for £20 saving at least £30. Credit Card Processing A company with a credit card turnover of £75,000, currently paying 2% on credit card turnover, with BTAA preferential streamline rates would save over £550 per year on their credit card processing alone. (Please note the savings are calculated using a blended Visa and Mastercard credit card rate of 1.205% and are based on face to face rates only)Website Interactive website with weekly changing news, views and information. Free sourcing on both suppliers and retailers. Links to other related sites and information on trade shows and events. Industry Magazine – Fashion Extras is the BTAA Official Industry magazine. BTAA members are entitled to a 25% discount on the first-year of annual subscriptions. Private healthcare Savings on private healthcare of up to 40%. A single male age 40 years can save up to £300. Export Services Help and assistance when looking into new opportunities for exporting. Guidance on applying for government grants and reimbursements for visiting/researching overseas shows. Using the Leathermark Scheme Members are entitled to a discounts when using the BLC services. This can make a saving of over £500. Trade Fair Discounts For many companies, the trade fair discounts are one of the most significant tangible savings. Reimbursements are on many fairs i.e. International Spring and Autumn Fair NEC, Giving and Living Exeter (formerlyTorquay) Fair, Gift and Home Harrogate, Scottish trade Fair Spring.
From 1.1.2010 5% discounts off the cost of stand space at Chic Fashion Accessories and Luggage Shows and Boutique by Chic Coventry * * see website for exclusions. (All rebates come from the BJGF Accounts Department approx 8 weeks after the show and members DO NOT need to apply.) Members have to be fully paid up for 6 months before the fairs.
