BTAA BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

Here is a summary of the benefits available to members of the British Travelgoods and Accessories Association. Full details are available in members only or you can request more information by using contact us from the home page.
MEMBER UPDATES Leads and information are sent on to members on a weekly basis, our website is updated weekly and we also send out bi-monthly member updates are sent out with all Inforamtion and news on the industry. This is one of the main reasons why members join the BTAA. We are known to be the place to find information on and for the industry.
FREIGHT FORWARDING - TNT DISCOUNT OF 40%
BTAA/BJGF members are entitled to a 40% discount off listed TNT Express Price list (see below). For setting up the service initially please contact Laura Cartwright at the BJGF (parent organisation). You need to be a member of the BTAA to take advantage of these prices.

TRADE FAIR DISCOUNTS Full members receive a reimbursements of 5% when showing at the following fairs:

Members find that the rebates received are often more than their annual membership fee * Chic and Boutique fairs, the 5% discount comes in terms of a rebate after the fair, this is to a ceiling of the membership fee over the whole year and not on each fair.
COPYWATCH Copywatch offers a comprehensive range of Intellectual Property Services including Design protection, Trademark registration, Advice, Arbitration and Litigation. Up to 30 minutes of free advice is provided by our expert team. See website Royds website for Copywatch CREDIT MANAGEMENT The BTAA 'Credit Checks' service is provided by one of the INSURANCE SERVICES BTAA have arranged special discounts on behalf of their members, TH March offers advice and support for differing insurance and risk needs, ranging from the single retail outlet and small/medium enterprise to the multiple retailers and global Plc. Members are reporting to having made savings of up to 25%.
Industry reports are available to BTAA members at reduced rates. There are FREE ‘Executive Summaries’ available to help you decide which report best suits you (if neccessary). FREE ENTRY ONTO THE INTERNET All your products listed on the Association's website and for retailers we have a Consumer Search Facility whereby visitors can find the product/brand at the nearest outlet in their area.

A company with a credit card turnover of £75,000, currently paying 2% on credit card turnover, with BTAA preferential streamline rates would save over £550 per year on their credit card processing alone. HEALTH & SAFETYBritish Jewellery and Giftware International (Import and Export helpline) Our Import/Export Department offers the following benefits to it's members: substantial government funding for overseas exhibition and trade missions, Catalogue and Sample opportunities, seminars and training, free world wide publicity, market information, discounted translations, quarterly newsletter, export opportunities, help and advice. Export Services have a dedicated team of 5 members of staff that can help you with information on Overseas trade and missions supported by the Government. Our Parent Organisation (BJGF) Extra offers and SAVINGS
As the BTAA is part of the BJGF (parent organisation) and one of 6 trade associations. LOBBYING GOVERNMENT The BTAAis the voice of the Travelgoods and Accessories industry. It has close links with government in both the INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS AND TAX RECLAIM SERVICES The Western Union Corporate Payments Service operated by FEXCO offers special rates to BTAA members on international payments. BTAA LEADS AND NEWS Weekly BTAA send out leads to members, News and up-to- date legislation is sent to members as it arrives via email (unless requested by post). BENEVOLENT SOCIETY Ex-employees of the industry many, in old age, find life difficult to manage financially and may apply to the BJGF Benevolent Society for assistance.
